A second set of affordable apartments within the parking lot replacing rental tower at 221 West 29th Street has hit the city’s Housing Connect website. Earlier this year, 19 of the 15-story building’s apartments were offered as affordable housing. This time around, there are 15 units up for grabs.
The affordable homes are a mix of studios, one-, and two-bedrooms and are available for residents earning either 40 percent or 130 percent of the area median income. There are five studios renting for $621/month for incomes between $23,178 and $26,720, along with one studio that is renting for $2,123 for individuals earning between $74,675 and $86,840. Additionally, there are five one-bedrooms going for $715/month for those earning between $26,469 and $30,560; another three one-bedrooms priced at $2,432 for incomes between $85,338 and $99,320; and just one two-bedroom for $2,743 for those earning between $96,035 and $124,020.
The Goldstein, Hill & Wet-designed building offers amenities that include a 24-hour attended lobby, laundry room, fitness center, bike storage, a resident’s lounge, and a roof deck.
The deadline to apply is November 15.
