The pirate is officially sailing away from Eastern Columbia Building.
Actor Johnny Depp sold his last remaining penthouse at the 13-story Art Deco building at 849 South Broadway for $1.43 million, the Los Angeles Times reported. It is now listed for lease at $5,500 per month.
The penthouse was part of a five-unit complex which originally listedfor a combined $12.78 million last year. Altogether, the actor raked in $10.88 million, roughly $3.7 million more than what he paid for the properties in 2007 – 2008.
Spanning 1,780 square feet, the unit features a loft-style floor plan with exposed brick and steel-panned windows. One bedroom, one half-bathroom and a mural by Brazilian street artist Osgemeos fill the space.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has credits in a variety of films, including “Alice in Wonderland,” the more recent “Murder on the Orient Express,” “Edward Scissorhands,” and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Depp was recently entailed in a legal battlewith the Management Firm over lost fortunes totaling $650 million. His real estate portfolio — including a 45-acre chateau in France, five homes in the Hollywood Hills and another property in the Bahamas — was called into question at the time.
